Security is a priority

Your tax situation deserves careful handling.

We make protecting your information a priority throughout the CatchUp process. Customer records belong in the private case portal—not ordinary email, social messages or the public chatbot. Access is limited to authorized personnel; authorized staff may handle records during launch.

Case-status messages direct you to your portal without including tax documents or financial details. Security and confidentiality apply to every service, including DIY Records Organization.

This website is a preview. Live customer uploads remain unavailable while payment, secure access and document safeguards are completed and tested. No system can guarantee absolute security.

The problem we solve

Behind on your returns? Start with your records.

Whether you’re finally ready to file or a tax notice brought you here, you don’t need to organize every transaction first. Gather the records you have. CatchUp helps reconstruct the missing years and identify the questions that need your answer.

“My books aren’t ready.”We reconstruct the picture from bank activity and supporting records.
“I’m behind for more than one year.”We organize the work by year and identify missing periods.
“The IRS or state is demanding a return.”Tell us which years the notice covers and any response deadline. Don’t wait for perfect books to seek help.
“My bank account has been levied.”A levy needs immediate attention from an authorized tax professional. Organizing and filing missing returns is a separate part of getting back into compliance.
Filing is a step toward compliance

Have an urgent notice or levy?

A notice deadline or active levy needs prompt attention from an authorized tax professional. Records Organization helps prepare the records needed for overdue returns; collection and representation services require a separate engagement.

Filing a return alone does not automatically stop collection, release a levy, or extend a notice deadline. Payment arrangements, hardship relief, levy-release requests, and representation depend on your circumstances and require separate attention. State procedures vary.

An active levy or imminent deadline belongs with an authorized EA, CPA, or tax attorney promptly. Records Organization focuses on records; one-on-one professional services are separately scoped.

How it works

Four steps from statements to a records package.

01 / Tell us your situation

Tell us what’s overdue

Identify the years, business type, available records, and urgent notices.

02 / Gather your documents

Upload a batch

Upload your records together—no renaming or individual document labels required. CatchUp identifies gaps and asks about unclear items.

03 / Reconstruct & clarify

Answer focused questions

We reconcile deposits and categorize expenses. You clarify transfers, personal spending, and items that need context.

04 / Review & move forward

Confirm & get your package

Confirm your information before delivery. Use your records package yourself or engage a professional separately for preparation, review, signatures, and filing.

How quickly can we help? Our target is to complete Records Organization within 2 business days after all required documents and final clarification answers are received. This is a target, not a guarantee. Missing information pauses processing; Professional Preparation and IRS/FTB processing follow separate timelines.

Schedule C preparation · additional to Records Organization
  • Separate engagement and confirmed preparation scope
  • Professional follow-up and return preparation
  • Qualified review before filing
  • Customer approval and required signatures
  • Federal/state preparation; e-file or mail as appropriate
Starting price, subject to complexity and scope. Representation and collection work require a separate engagement. Preparation timing is confirmed separately.

An entity return or more complex records?

Entity/corporation Professional Preparation starting at $1,250 per year, additional to Records Organization. Entity returns and cases outside standard limits require manual review and a custom quote. Individual-owned single-member LLCs without corporate elections can qualify for the Schedule C path. California LLC filings require separate scope confirmation.

What standard pricing covers

Schedule C sole proprietors/independent contractors with 1–4 overdue years, up to 1,000 financial transactions per tax year and 3 bank/credit-card accounts. Qualifying individual-owned single-member LLCs can use the Schedule C path. Professional Preparation covers one personal state return within the agreed scope; The optional California LLC Form 568 package is $129 per qualifying LLC per tax year; FTB taxes and fees are separate.

Payroll reconstruction, entity bookkeeping, sales-tax reconstruction, cryptocurrency reconstruction, complex inventory, and tax-resolution representation are excluded from standard pricing. These and other complex cases need review and a separate quote or engagement.

Optional California LLC forms

Schedule C records plus your LLC form package.

$129 per qualifying California single-member LLC per tax year, additional to Records Organization. Includes mapped amounts for the California Form 568 package within confirmed scope. Records Organization plus the LLC form service is $628 per year.

The $800 annual LLC tax, when applicable, and any other FTB taxes or fees are paid by the client and outside our service scope. This is a service price, not a state payment. Professional preparation and filing are separate services.

Planned deliverable: a completed, validated California Form 568 financial/form package within confirmed eligibility and scope. You must enter your full identifiers, review the form and sign before filing; our DIY package uses last-four identifiers and is not ready to file until you complete those steps. This option is not available for purchase until full form completion and PDF delivery pass validation. Filing, signatures and FTB payments are separate.

Optional secure storage

Your organized records, ready when you need them.

CatchUp Secure Records Archive — $99 per account per year. Keep the source documents and completed packages from your purchased 1–4 tax years in your private account for future reference. Includes up to 5 GB total; larger archives require a quote.

Your paid Records Organization downloads are included whether or not you choose storage. Archive access runs for 12 months from completed package delivery, with manual renewal and no automatic charge. You can also add it after delivery. Without archive storage, downloads remain available for 30 days after package delivery. After a paid archive term expires, you have a 30-day export/renewal grace period. We send reminders before expiration; renewal requires your action. Any legally required internal retention is handled separately.

Storage does not include new-year processing, bookkeeping, tax advice or professional preparation. Keep your own backup. Future professional use requires your authorization. This preview does not create a live archive.

U.S.-based. Technology-driven. Professional help when you need it.

Your next step builds on the work already done.

CatchUp is a 100% U.S.-based operation, built around our proprietary records-organization technology, with licensed and credentialed tax professionals available through a separate engagement.

Start with DIY records organization. If you need additional expert help, we can use the records and history you have already provided—with your authorization—to reduce repeated explanations and help the professional get up to speed sooner. Begin with a paid 30-minute consultation ($89); additional help is scoped and custom-quoted afterward. Any further work requires your approval and a separate engagement. Timing and tax outcomes depend on your situation and are not guaranteed.

Records Organization remains a self-service experience; authorized staff may handle fulfillment during launch. Tax advice, professional review, preparation, filing and representation are separate services.

Discuss separately quoted professional help
Private professional help · separately engaged

Your own tax advisor for the next step.

Begin with a paid, private $89 / 30-minute consultation. If additional work is appropriate, we provide a custom quote. IRS representation begins only after we accept the engagement, you approve the quote and terms, and required authorizations are completed. Your assigned professional must be authorized to practice before the IRS. A consultation alone does not include representation.

Confidentiality and privilege: what is protected?

A consultation or accepted quote does not automatically create attorney-client privilege. Certain confidential tax-advice communications with an enrolled agent or other federally authorized tax practitioner may qualify for limited protection under federal law in noncriminal IRS matters and related federal tax proceedings. It is not blanket protection for uploaded records, bookkeeping or tax-return preparation, and does not apply to criminal tax matters or state proceedings under that federal rule. Other exceptions and waiver rules apply. We cannot guarantee that any particular communication is privileged.

Attorney-client privilege requires a qualifying attorney relationship and communication; it is not established by hiring an enrolled agent. Ask your professional about the applicable protections before sharing sensitive legal concerns. If a tax attorney is needed, discuss an appropriate referral. Do not submit private case details to the chatbot.

How your case moves forward

Email notifications are included for document requests, clarification questions, delays, and delivery. When answers or replacement files are needed, a general alert directs you to sign in and complete a short online form. Financial details stay inside the case portal. SMS security codes and optional case-status texts are planned for launch. Case-status texts require separate opt-in; email remains the standard channel. Email and SMS are transactional/status channels, not unlimited tax consultation.

Authorized staff may access and manually process records during launch. The customer journey is self-service and uses automation, but Records Organization does not include tax-professional review.

This sandbox previews the workflow. The FAQ chatbot works locally; email, payment and customer record submissions remain unconnected.

Straight answers about your records, service options, and timing.

Can my single-member LLC use this service?

Yes, a qualifying individual-owned LLC with no corporate tax election can use the operating-business Schedule C path. We ask about ownership and elections before payment. California generally also requires Form 568. LLC DIY worksheets are in development; filing and professional preparation require separate scope confirmation. An EIN alone does not determine the return type.

IRS single-member LLC guidance · California FTB LLC guidance

Do I need to rename or label every file?

No. Upload a batch of source documents. CatchUp identifies document types and periods where possible, keeps same-name files separate, and asks for clarification when something is uncertain. You still confirm that all relevant accounts, income forms, and statement periods have been provided.

How does the consultation credit work?

A 30-minute consultation costs $89. If you engage CatchUp for an approved custom-quoted service of more than $1,250, we credit the full $89 initial paid consultation toward that service. The credit is applied to your invoice before you pay the final balance. The threshold is the agreed service price before the credit, excluding taxes and pass-through charges. Any consultation credit already used counts toward the $89 total; credits do not stack. Consultation and service scope are confirmed separately.

Can I start without complete records?

Yes. Identify gaps during intake. Processing may pause while required documents or clarification answers are missing. Complete records and final answers are needed before the two-business-day target begins.

Is Records Organization a prepared tax return?

You receive a finalized CatchUp-generated Schedule C package with reconciliation, categorized expenses, exceptions/assumptions, and transaction support. It is not a professionally prepared or tax-professionally reviewed return. Tax advice, professional review, preparation, filing, and representation are excluded. You remain responsible for the return you file.

    Is the process fully automated?

The customer experience is guided and self-service, with automation where available. During the initial launch, authorized staff may handle data, resolve processing issues, and produce deliverables manually. This does not mean tax-professional review is included.

What happens if the target cannot be met?

We email you promptly with a revised estimate and options: a full refund if you do not want to wait, or continued processing at no additional cost until the revised date. A paid priority upgrade may be offered only when actual priority capacity is available and a fee has been agreed. Priority pricing has not yet been set.

Does this stop IRS or FTB collection?

No. Record organization or filing does not automatically stop collection, release a levy, or extend a notice deadline. Seek prompt help from an authorized professional for urgent notices. No deductions, refunds, tax liabilities, or IRS/FTB results are guaranteed.

What does this sandbox do with my documents?

It displays file names, sizes, year labels, and document types in this browser session. It does not send file contents, store client records, accept payment, or connect to tax authorities. Reloading clears the intake preview. Use sample information only.

    Business terms

A defined scope and clear expectations.

Read service scope, payment, timing, and responsibilities

    Scope & payment

Records Organization is $499 per standard tax year, paid in full upfront before processing begins. The selected years, total price and scope are disclosed before purchase. Reports stay locked until payment is verified and required confirmations are complete. Professional Preparation payment terms are confirmed separately. Standard prices cover the published 1,000-transaction/3-account limits and one state return for Professional Preparation. Complex, entity, or out-of-scope work may require additional fees or a custom quote agreed before that work begins.

Records Organization excludes tax advice, tax-professional review, return preparation, filing, representation, live professional support, and unlimited tax consultation. Professional Preparation requires its own engagement and applicable authorizations. A professional consultation is $89 for 30 minutes. The consultation is paid upfront. For an approved custom-quoted service over $1,250, the full $89 initial paid consultation is credited before the final bill is paid. Credits do not stack; the customer must accept the quote.

You are responsible for complete, accurate records, business-purpose information, and timely answers. CatchUp may rely on your answers and uploaded records within the purchased scope. Additional years or Professional Preparation can be purchased separately. You confirm your information before final delivery. Processing may pause for missing documents or unanswered questions.

Optional California LLC form service: $129 per qualifying LLC per tax year, additional to $499/year Records Organization ($628/year combined). The $800 annual LLC tax, when applicable, and any other FTB taxes, fees, penalties or interest are the client’s responsibility and outside CatchUp’s service scope. The state form package does not include tax payment, filing, representation or professional preparation unless separately engaged.

Optional Secure Records Archive: $99 per account for 12 months from completed package delivery, covering purchased case records up to 5 GB. Paid upfront when selected; manually renewed with no automatic billing. Declining storage does not remove your paid download entitlement. If the underlying service is canceled before package delivery, the unstarted archive fee is refunded. Archive purchase does not include additional processing or professional services. Renewal reminders and export instructions will be provided before expiration; access and deletion timelines will be disclosed before live purchase. Customer archive access and legally required internal record retention are separate.

    Timing, cancellations & outcomes

Records Organization targets completion within 2 business days after all required documents and final clarification answers are received. Completion is not guaranteed. Professional Preparation and tax-authority processing have separate timelines.

Cancellation and refund terms are explained below. You may cancel for a full refund before transaction extraction, income reconciliation, or categorization begins. After that point, the service fee is generally nonrefundable, subject to the policy exceptions and applicable law.

No guarantee is made about deductions, refunds, tax liability, collection outcomes, or IRS/FTB decisions. Personalized advice requires a separate professional engagement based on the relevant facts.

These launch terms are shown for review in the sandbox. Live payment, privacy, retention, and engagement arrangements must be in place before live customer intake.

Cancel before substantial processing for a full refund. Report a missing deliverable or an error so we can review and correct it.

Read the full cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel for a full refund before substantial processing begins. Substantial processing begins when CatchUp starts extracting transactions, reconciling income, or categorizing your records. After that point, the upfront payment is generally nonrefundable, subject to applicable law and the exceptions below. If you paid in full, the service fee is generally nonrefundable after substantial processing starts under the same protections. Final reports require verified full payment and customer confirmation. This preview does not authorize any charge.

If we determine that we cannot meet your anticipated completion timeframe, we will contact you promptly and offer a full refund or continued processing at no additional cost with a revised estimated completion date. Paid priority processing may be offered only when available and separately agreed.

If your delivered package contains an error or is missing an agreed deliverable, contact us with the specific issue. We will review your concern and correct errors attributable to CatchUp without an additional charge. Partial or full refunds may be offered where appropriate.

Downloading a package does not automatically entitle you to a refund or prevent you from reporting a legitimate problem. Dissatisfaction alone does not guarantee a refund. Additional work caused by new records or changed customer information may require a separate quote.

This policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.

To report a problem, email besttaxcatchup@gmail.com with your case reference, tax year, and a brief description of the issue. Send supporting tax documents through the secure portal when provided. Service-resolution support does not include individualized tax consultation.
